Tanjung Langsat Port Sdn Bhd (TLP) was incorporated in 1995 with an authorised capital of RM100.00 million and the paid-up capital of RM97.0 million, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johor Corporation .

The principal objective of setting up a port in Tanjung Langsat is to serve the 4,000 acres of industrial land of Tanjung Langsat which is situated immediately behind the port designated area. With 4.5 kilometres of shore line back-up with 700 acres of land within the port area, TLP is well positioned to serve the entire industrial complex as well as the region.

TLP location which is strategically located in the heart of South East Asia together with the vast land bank within the port area, long shoreline area and adequate depth gives a distinct advantages to TLP to attract investors to use the port. Its location which is near to Johor Port Berhad in Pasir Gudang would give synergy to TLP and complement each other.

In term of logistical advantages, TLP'S location which is within 30 minutes of steaming time or 12 nautical miles from the international shipping lane and only about 50 kilometres from Senai Airport - a designated regional air cargo hub, provide TLP with an added accessibility and connectivity. In addition, TLP'S location within the newly launched Iskandar Malaysia will give impacts to the port development and growth in the future.

At the moment the construction of the L-shaped twin berth jetty capable of handling vessels up to 5,000 DWT and 30,000 DWT respectively has been completed. It has commenced partial operations in January 2003 and fully operational by June 2008. All infrastructural back-up amenities such as water supply, electricity, gas and fire hydrant equipment are readily available.
